Portrait Salon UK 2019

November 09, 2019

I am happy to write that I have had two images selected to be part of this year’s Portrait Salon exhibition, to be shown at the The Royal Photographic Society in Bristol from November 21st - 28th, then travelling on to the Photo North Festival in Harrogate from November 30th - December 2nd.

“Portrait Salon was founded by Carole Evans and James O Jenkins in 2011 as a response to the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize. A form of Salon des Refusés – an exhibition of works rejected from a juried art show – it aims to showcase the best of the rejected images from the Taylor Wessing Prize, which is organised annually by the National Portrait Gallery in London.

Portrait Salon exists to question the place of competitions within the photographic industry and to provide another opportunity and platform for photographers.”
